Tarot Tuesday

The Page of Pentacles

The Page of Pentacles seems deep in thought as he stares at an old Pentacle, rusty with age. He stands in the center of a circular stone slab with a factory looming in the distance. He himself appears to be created of various parts, like those at his feet, and ponders just what he could create with this wonderful discovery he has made.

The Page of Pentacles, like the pages of all the suits, is a card of new beginnings, of inspiration and the initial stages of a creativity. The Page is absorbed by the Pentacle in his hand which represents his goals and dreams and  the beginnings of awareness not only in terms of money and its value, but also in terms of a growing awareness of the importance of health and other material needs.

As many young people do the page of pentacles desires to have an effect on the world. He wants to mold his life and the world around him. The page of pentacles desires to create tangible changes, and he wants to experience nature and life. He is interested in getting the ball rolling, and he is filled with plans that he wants to bring to actuality. This Page  is filled with physical energy, and he is ready to act on his dreams.

In readings the Page of Pentacles brings you opportunities for growth and prosperity. You could be about to experience the rewards that you are due for all your hard work. You’ve done the work and you've experienced and overcome all the problems that were thrown in your way. Now you can reap the rewards.

I am going to take a few days off this week as last week was a bit tough for me but I will be back for Serenity Sunday. I hope you all enjoy your week and I will be back before you know it!

Magical Monday

Inspiration can come in many ways and bringing a little magic into your daily life is not as difficult as most would think. What is it that moves or inspires you? The sound of ocean waves...the scent of a forest in the morning mist...the sound of birds chirping outside your window...the feel of fresh fallen leaves under bare feet? Sometimes it can be as simple as pulling weeds from the garden or watering flowers in your window boxes.

Sometimes though, we just can't find inspiration and just feel bogged down and stagnant... it can happen to the best of us and when we get focused on that which is not happening, we can miss the small moments of magical inspiration that occur quite often...we just need to listen with all our senses.

A great way to break through the occasional slump I can fall into is to get up, get out and take a walk. There's a terrific local park close by with lots of tall trees, soft green grass and soon...plenty of fallen leaves. I find a tree (preferrably an older, wise looking tree) and sit down at it's base and close my eyes. I listen to the birds chirping, smell the damp grass, I feel the energy of the tree resonating within me.

After spending a half an hour or so, I feel refreshed and renewed...ready to start aknowledging the everyday inspirations that I may have missed before. What are some ways that you  bring the magical, the inspiration of the natural world into your everyday life? I have found that the more I take time to just be still, to listen, touch, smell and hear what mother earth is presenting to me to inspire my life, the more sensitive I am when these little moments happen.

The Greatest Little Fighter

Today I would like to introduce to you a distinguished little gentleman named Moki. I am completely in awe of his spirit and courage and I'm sure that it greater than anyone I know. Moki is a special little guy in a handsome striped suit who just happens to be a cat. He has special needs but they never seems to slow him down in the least... I only wish that we, in the human world, would have as much gumption and tenacity as he has shown despite his difficulties.

He walks rather stiffly and like some of us, he has his bad days but he has his good days too and this little man has surmounted odds that would have made the strongest of us give up long ago. He is in no pain, I must say that right away and sadly his Momma Bean gets her fair share of emails (out of ignorance mostly) that are less than compassionate towards Moki and his condition and my heart goes out to her. You can read about disabled pets on the webpage called "Moki's Friends" which speaks from the heart about those special furry friends we consider to be family and there is a link you can click on to read about Moki's story.... there is also a blog Momma Bean keeps updated about how Moki is doing on "Save Moki"

I have been following Moki and his story for a while now and wanted to introduce him to you because, bless his fuzzy little heart, has been a true inspiration to me. There was a raffle recently to raise funding for his care, as it is very expensive, and donations are always welcome. Moki's needs are ongoing and it is always appreciated when folks can assist in making Momma Bean's load a bit lighter.

I truly hope that you check out his website and follow along with all of us who read his blog updates... to cheer him on, send him positive vibrations or to just say hello. Moki is a true fighter and one of those rare little guys that just warm your heart and touch your soul.

Bright Blessings Moki,

from my furry bunch to you!

The Star

The Star is a card of harmony and balance much like the card of Temperance. However, because the Star follows the card of the Tower, it also represents the end of a period of change and upheaval. The Star is a card of fulfillment, peace of mind, mental and emotional stability. Like Temperance, the lamb in the card holds two containers of water, but in this case she pours the water out to nourish the earth and continue the cycle of fertility which is represented by the green grass around her. Also like Temperance, she has one foot on land and the other in the water. The water represents the spiritual realm and the land is a symbol of the material world.

When the Star turns up in a reading, it is most welcome when grief and loss have overwhelmed us. In our darkest times, we need to know that there is there is light at the end of the tunnel. The Star is the opposite of the Devil who strips us of our hope in the future. This card holds out the promise that we can eventually find peace of mind. The Star also reminds us that we need to open our heart and release our fears and doubts. If you have been holding back , now is the time to give generously. It is important to remember that the Star is inspiring, but it is not a card of practical solutions . With out hope we can accomplish nothing but hope is only a beginning. When you see this card, you know that you are on the right track. Your goals and your aspirations are blessed, but to realize them, you must take positive action. Use the light of the Star to guide you in your efforts.
