Serenity Sunday

Hope

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune--without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

Emily Dickenson

I love this little poem, it cheers me up just reading it. What things give you hope...what little inspiration burns within you that causes you to hold it dear to your heart? Let's not just practice our gratitude but our hopes too....how can you celebrate your hope today?

I get hope from impossible situations coming out okay. I love success stories, especially when everybody thought a particular person wouldn't make it. Whenever I'm feeling down I read one of those and then count my blessings and the possibility of getting more.

Hugs.

"...a crumb of me." Got to love Miss Emily (my literary hero). And your "Benadryl Cream" entry isn't bad either. Well done, dear one!
